Ernst Fries, being a sculptor, didn’t produce many paintings. However in 1977 he created a series of 10 geometric paintings, enamel spray on board. Ernst was inspired by european sculptor and friend OTTO HAJEK’S colourful sculptures installed at the Adelaide Festival Centre Plaza in 1977. The estate selected 5 ofthe strongest paintings to produce high quality giclee prints for the posthumous exhibition at Yering Station in March 2025.
